We recently acted for a company who recently purchased the freehold of the building. When one of the leaseholder’s tried to sell his flat, he was unable to as the vault space he had been using was not included in either the leasehold or freehold title.
We were able to advise our clients of a way to make an application to the Land Registry to include the vault within the freehold which would allow the leaseholder to sell his flat.
The application was made and the process was very simple, quick and cost effective for the company.
